NEW DETAILED PLAN FOR GÄDDVIKEN (IN PROGRESS)
The proposed detailed plan for Gäddviken marks a new phase in the development of Kvarnholmen, where Hästholmssundet and an area adjacent to Svindersviken are slated for new development. The detailed plan connects the eastern parts of Finnboda with Kvarnholmen and creates a new hub between Kvarnholmsvägen, Södra vägen, Finnboda, and the development on Finnberget.
The plan provides for approximately 1,500 new homes, along with amenities, preschools, and new public spaces. The area will be developed into a waterfront urban environment where housing, recreation, and nature are integrated with the site’s industrial heritage.
The proposal includes, among other things, waterfront promenades, parks, a swimming area, new public squares, and improved pedestrian and bicycle connections, including a planned drawbridge over Svindersviken.
At the same time, the land and water will be remediated to remove historical contamination in order to improve the environment in the area. The architecture will be adapted to the significant elevation changes and take into account the cultural environment and the unique landscape surrounding Kvarnholmen. The plan also aims to strengthen the connection between the city center and Kvarnholmen and create a more cohesive and accessible urban space along the waterfront.
DETAILED PLAN FOR UTBLICKEN AND FÖRMANSBOSTADEN (IN PROGRESS)
The proposed zoning plan for Utblicken and Förmansbostaden includes new development on a portion of Finnberget. The development faces primarily south, offering beautiful views of Nacka and the city of Stockholm.
The plan provides for approximately 250 new housing units, along with a new preschool, and transfers ownership of streets and open spaces to the municipality. The area will be developed with new public stairways and walkways.
